    As we shared a few weeks ago, getting in the routine of exercising regularly is one of our top tips to slim down for summer. We know exercise helps us burn cals, but why else should we be motivated to get our body moving?

    Stress Relief

    Running on that treadmill, going for a walk, or lifting weights, is a great way to relieve your daily stresses. Not only does this feel good emotionally, but reducing stress is good for your skin! High stress levels can trigger breakouts or skin redness/inflammation if you suffer from sensitive skin or rosacea.

    Wrinkle Delay

    As noted on livestrong.com, “A study by Bispebjerg Hospital in Denmark found that prolonged exercise stimulated collagen and elastin production and improved skin thickness.” Both collagen and elastin are the two proteins responsible for helping our skin stay young and plump looking, but as we age these substances diminish. Combine exercising with your anti-aging cream and you’re in good shape (literally).


    Another great benefit of working out – it’s a natural method of detoxifying. Sweating from working out allows your body to release built up toxins and get that deep cleanse it needs.

    Better Sleep

    According to Sleepfoundation.org  “People sleep significantly better and feel more alert during the day if they get at least 150 minutes of exercise a week, a new study concludes.” We’ve said it before – the term “beauty sleep” exists for a reason!
