Post-Holiday Skin Rejuvenation
Between holiday parties, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and the excessive over-eating, over-drinking, and sleep deprivation that follows suit, your skin and body could use some rejuvenation! Here’s are 3 tips to get you on the right track!
1. Start juicing – If you’ve drank too much eggnog or champagne, it’s time to shift gear and start putting some nourishing liquids into your body! Now’s a great time to pull out the blender, pop in some fruits and veggies, and kick start your mornings with a nutrient-rich, and refreshing green juice.
*Lydia’s Juice Recipe: 1 whole cucumber, 1 green apple, 2 TBSP honey, 1 bunch parsley or kale and juice from 1 lemon (For the brave, add ginger or cayenne pepper!)
2. Detox with a seaweed bath – If you haven’t seen it already, we recently did a tutorial on how to take a bath. Not only does a relaxing bath feel wonderful after weeks filled with excessive activities, but it’s a great way to give you and your skin an at home detox! We love our Vita Cura Triple Action Foaming Seaweed Bath as it is made with seaweed harvested from Brittany Coast of France, that contain vitamins, amino acids and trace elements and minerals to rejuvenate your skin!
3. De-puff- Salty foods and alcohol retain water causing unwanted puffiness all over. Let’s face it, this isn’t a great look or a good feeling. Laying low on the sugary foods, and opting for green juices and water over soda and alcohol, will be a great way to get back on track, but using an eye gel, will help to target puffy eyes.
