Spring is officially here! It’s time for the sun to start shining, spring wardrobes to be pulled from the back of your closet, and your skin care routine to make an adjustment!
Despite your exfoliating efforts this winter, you still may be seeing the effects of dead skin cells. With months build up of these cells from the cold and dry winter air, along with high levels of indoor heat, exfoliating is necessary to get your skin out of it’s dull and dry state. A gentle, natural exfoliator, like our Honey and Almond Scrub, is great to use during the spring time. It won’t be too harsh on your skin, and can be used at least 2-3 times a week (if not more!) to help get rid of those flakes. Additionally, if you’re winter wardrobe of sweaters, sweatpants and all things long sleeved have made you neglect your legs, arms, and elbows, make sure to exfoliate your entire body. Our Sea Spa Glow is a blend of seaweeds, dead sea salts and mints that can help your whole body be ready to embrace short sleeves and bring out that spring glow!
Following exfoliation, as always, hydrate your skin! With hotter temperatures and higher humidity that comes about in the spring, your skin may begin to see more oil production. At the same time, on some spring days it may still feel like winter. With this mixture of hot and cold temperatures, you may want to switch to a lighter moisturizer, like our T-Zone Balance Moisture Complex for combination skin type. It is made with antioxidant Green and White Teas that work to smooth and hydrate your skin, and St. John’s Wort to calm and provide balance for your skin. It is non-comedogenic, and is light enough to be used more than twice a day if needed! It’s light and effective formula make it the perfect moisturizer to add to your spring skin care collection!
