For some men, skin care can be a foreign language, but with Valentine’s Day only days away, get your man looking as dapper as Don Draper with our manly make-over!

Step 1: Don’t tell him he needs it. Much like you don’t want your esthetician in the spa pointing out our blemishes and crow’s feet – neither does your significant other! Make it fun! If you are prepping your skin for a night out – invite him to join! Check out our video How to Create a Couples Spa at Home to see how you two can have fun pampering your skin together! If your man is a hard worker, and needs a little attention to his feet – don’t point it out. Rather, help him get rid of his dry and cracked winter feet by making it fun and exchanging foot massages! Use Sea Spa Foot Cream, with extracts from Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Laminaria Digitata Seaweed, Horse Chestnut, Lemon, Rosemary, Coriander and both Peppermint and Spearmint Oils, to nourish his dry, cracked heels, while also relaxing his tired and achy feet. He’ll love you for it!

Step 2: Facial Hair – If your man is on the hairier side, make sure he is picking up that razor, or you are doing it for him! Even if you prefer a man with a little fuzz, the fuzz should be groomed, and you must urge your man to not skip out on certain steps pre and post shaving. Pre-shave, he should exfoliate with a gentle exfoliator, such as Honey and Almond Scrub. This exfoliator is perfect for a pre-shave exfoliation, as it is gentle on the skin and will purify the skin and provide a deep cleanse. Exfoliating is important, as it will help get rid of dead skin cells, and help him get a cleaner shave. Post-shave, he must incorporate a good moisturizer, depending on his skin type. Applying a moisturizer will help create a protective skin barrier that was just shaved off, and reduce the risk of razor burn or irritation. Not to mention, you will benefit from a man with now silky smooth skin!

Step 3: The Deluxe Treatment – And of course, take him to your local salon or spa for a little pampering. Lure him in with a couples massage, then get him to upgrade for a deluxe treatment. We know men can be reluctant, but an Anti-Aging Hand Treatment for a man who works with his hands, or a Sea Spa Pedicure for a man who is on his feet all day, or is the active type, can be two great options.

We know sometimes men need a little push – that’s why it is your duty to get him started! Have any other beauty tips for giving your man a makeover?
